Steve Corbett has lived most of his life in and around Central Pennsylvania graduating from a rural Perry County high school in 1969. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1974 with a B.S. in Community Development. After working a variety of jobs - bouncer construction laborer bill collector prison counselor and boxing instructor he broke into the newspaper business full-time as a reporter with the Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre in 1985 where he won dozens of state journalism awards as a columnist as well as a national journalism award for service to the First Amendment. After moving to Santa Maria California to take a columnist job with Pulitzer he also covered the Michael Jackson child molestation trial for Sky news in Europe. Corbett won journalism awards in California and Nevada and moved to Scranton in 2006 where he lives with his wife Stephanie.
