PSP- We're getting closer to Frein, search area narrowing

The Pa. State Police are acting on numerous tips and intensifying their search of the northern Monroe Co/Pike Co area looking for suspected killer Eric Frein.  Gov. Tom Corbett announced that progress is being made, and Lt. Col. George Bivens of the PSP says hundreds are now in the search and they are 'close to him'.  Listen to WILK for more on this breaking news.

Double-Death In Monroe County

Double death in the Poconos. The alleged shooter in custody. In fact, 54 year old Garry Flyte called 9-1-1 and told state police at Lehighton what he had done. He allegedly went to 422 meixsell valley road, Eldred Township in Monroe County just before seven last night and shot 30 year old Steven Powell, who ran from scene. fFyte then allegedly fatally shot 54 year old Jeffrey Place in the abdomen and killed the family dog with a gunshot. Powell died at Pocono Medical Center. State police say Fllyte went home, left the weapon there, then returned to the house where the killings occured and called 9-1-1 to describe what he did. That's where he was taken into custody.
