Push For Jump In Minimum Wage

A freshman state legislator wants to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania. Driven by the plight of working women, Dauphin County Democrat Patty Kim plans to unveil a bill in the House, that would raise the minimum wage across the commonwealth. Rep. Kim, in her first term, says workers cannot get over the poverty line at the current minimum wage of 7.25 and two-thirds of them are women. Representative Kim's bill would raise the minimum wage to nine dollars an hour right away, and ten dollars and ten cents a year later.
