The Woodlands Inn and Resort in Plains Township came out on top in it's latest tussle with the Pennyslvania Liquor Control Board. the LCB did not want to renew the popular nightspot's liquor license because of the list of past violations on it's record. It had been granted a conditional license in october of 2011 and the LCB said the "Woods" did not follow the terms. But Luzerne County Judge Richard Hughes lined up with the Woodlands and told the LCB to renew the license. No word on what might come next.
