Former Governor Scranon Dead At 96



 Former governor and onetime presidential hopeful William Scranton Jr. has died. He was 96. A family spokesman says Scranton died last night of a cerebral hemorrhage at a California retirement home. The moderately liberal Republican unsuccessfully challenged Barry Goldwater for the party's presidential nomination in 1964.
