Help For Higher Education

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency can't finalize it's maximum grant award until Pennsylvania's next budget is final.The maximum grant award is expected to increase by more than 150 dollars to 4,363 dollars for the next academic year. PHEAA spokesman Keith New says they wanted to get an estimated award out to help students and schools plan for the next year, but they caution that the number can't be firmed up until the state budget is finalized. The deadline to apply for a state grant is May 1st.
