Would Gun Laws Work In Pennsylvania?



The focus of the hearing before the house appropriations committee was the state police staffing and budget. But gun safety was on the minds of several lawmakers. A number of gun safety measures are being introduced in this session after December's mass school shooting in Connecticut. But State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan says the guns are already out there and the majority of fatal shootings in Pennsylvania involved handguns. Noonan says he's not sure some of the proposed gun laws would have an effect on crime.
