Fighting Last Year's Fight
As a new state budget cycle begins, the fight over last year's human services cuts isn't over yet:
Legislation has been introduced, which would restore the $84-million dollars cut from county human services in the current state budget. State Rep. Gene DiGirolamo of Bucks County is leading the charge. Last year's cuts amounted to 10%. DiGirolamo's bill has been approved by the House Human Services Committee, which he chairs, and now awaits a vote in the full House
