Among the things Scranton Council did not do last night.....vote to activate the ordinance that would pass the operation of the city's metered parking to a private firm. And council also held off the vote on the ordinance that would change the hours meters would be needed from 8am to 8pm....two additional hours. It would also add Saturdays that meters would be required.The fee for ten-hour meters would also increase. Council held off after getting negative feedback from merchants and folks who patronize them.
