40 year old Daniel Loughnane, of West Liberty Street in Hanover Township, now heads to court to be tried on a single felony charge of accidents involving death. It stem from the hit/run death of 19 year old Rebecca McCallick. She was hit and killed by a pickup truck outside her apartment building at 199 Hazle Street in Wilkes-Barre early in the morning of July 24th of last year. At Louchnane''s preliminary hearing yesterday McCallick's live-in boyfriend, John Schenck, testified they had argued earlier and she later left the building and went out onto Hazle and laid down. He warned her of the danger, then saw a pickup truck hit her. Testing revealed that McCallick had marijuana in her system. Loughnane allegedly asked his ex-girlfriend "Let's just say Joe Schmo was driving his truck and some girl was lying in the road. Don't you think it was suicide?"
