Former Firefighter Pleads

One of three men who protected Old Forge has pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a girl who was 15 at the time. Former firefighter Walter Chiavacci admitted to one count of sexual assault. The Times Tribune reports he entered the plea in Lackawanna County Court. As part of his agreement with prosecutors Chaivacci will testify against suspended police chief Larry Semenza and police Captain Jamie Krenitsky. They are also accused of engaging in illicit sexual activity with the same girl. Chiavacci's charge carries a maximum two year sentence.
