Tow truck operator Robert Wickham, of Dallas,was charged with homicide by motor vehicle while DUI and two counts of DUI. Now he is convicted of homicide by motor vehicle while DUI and two counts of DUI. A luzerne county jury slammed him with the verdict this morning. 55 year old Denise Polinchak, of Wilkes-Barre, had a disable car in the lot of the Social Security Administration building in Plains Township in March of last year. Wickham took the call and was behind the wheel with the driver's door open when the vehicle backed up and the door struck her. She fell and struck her head, suffering a fatal injury. Wickham said he told the woman to stand out harms way and when he started the car and put it in reverse it "took off like a rocket" and the door hit the her.
