Scott Wagner now I know senator Wyden Earl Long time ago when I served 213 district and parish church and he is on the line with us right now senator good to talk to you again sir. Drag Gary doing today I'm good hey you know we were haven't we were having some fun before you called talking about a report that that's teenagers don't really wanna get summer jobs and we're asking people about their first job. And I noticed on your web site that this line. What could someone who grew up shoveling horse manure. Possibly do for the state of Pennsylvania site issue had some interesting start south. Frank I grew up on a farm. I in York county and you know I do a lot of farm chores and what was a large farm 25 acres my mother gave horseback riding weapons. Control over fifty years but we built hail a lot of debris or 5000 that Al dale show what lot of source you know. A lot of horses in here you are a lot of onshore. A bench you do should not ask senator and to tell tell the people and I'm sure that they have heard your ads say they are following you but but please tell us again why you think you should be governor of the Commonwealth's. Well my private sector business owner I'm 62 years old started several businesses. From scratch my first one really at age nineteen. And out today I have three companies are employed you know over 600 people. And you know I I read from the states senate in 2014. And I won the first ever write in campaign I want to Harrisburg. Frank because I was tired of making political contributions and nothing happening and also you know I watched regulation and unfriendly nestled government. Ask anybody out there and elucidate about VP labor minister your pen dot I know polarized. Standout talent Harrisburg and I expected and I am I ready campaign had fourteen. I expected governor Corbett to get reelected any good so now we have Tom wolf so I've been I've served in the state senate for four years. So I've seen a I've had a front row seat to one what is working in government and what is not working and I can tell you there's not a lot it's working so you take a combination a mighty. Forty years or private sector experience. In my four years serving in the state senate. You know I'm on the purse and with a very unique situation because I'm I don't consider myself an insider does anybody follows me. You'll find out that you know I I'd tag malicious senate majority leader sir I got there assembly Republican senate majority leader and dobbs. You know. You know I just I've watched. Our government operates and I certainly Appropriations Committee and other committees transportation. Labor ministry. But I can say right now we are not. We we are state it is bankrupt. And we need to come to that realization and not continue to tell people I'm a bit of those guys we don't have a revenue problem we have our spending in this management problem. But here's the difference tried in US mean this is the reason why should. I started my first business to get nineteen I consider myself blue collar guy. Yeah I talked to the truck drivers know my company Eli Broad and talk to customers. I talked to employees and customers like go to the truck stops that if the diners. Are you know and I was a lawful also one not Tuesday night at 1130 over like a street talk to people. The difference between myself Scott Wagner. Oh blue collar guy I I'm I'm the real deal I talked to the people or on the ground are really doing all the work. My opponents know come from they have they have executive backgrounds to. Which means they really spent their careers on the 22 floor for the 28 for the office building their work them so they really. Don't understand the issues as soon as as well as I do so. And I also. You know it's important for people and all I have a great career I have way I have my hello my waist company a sir Roger can nor. But after being in the senate for four years I have to do this and I interest you might as diplomatically as I can say there's. I don't need a job and I don't need the money and I'm not a career politician I don't want to be one and I'm not going to be there forever how I'm. I have to do to four year terms of do it it's Bob fumble on the gets things start not gonna look back in three years. Follow a lot of changes in my life and not have accomplish things so. But makes me it makes me a very unique candidate. Senator I know that you didn't you mention you're talking to a lot of people and one of the big issues that we continue to hear every day here is property tax property tax property tax what can you do to help these four senior citizens. I must on the IAF cosponsor on samples 76. And you know I just I guess I told you earlier that you were bankrupt then you don't wheat we don't have a revenue problem we have a spending and mismanagement problems first thing we're really do you read a balance your checkbook or rent to go to your based budgeting. We're gonna find out how much money we have or don't have and I believe there's a decent amount of money just plan around that we're gonna move the senate bill 76. I I can tell the people. In Pennsylvania. That this is one of my top three priorities is to eliminate property taxes within the first year of my our administration. I cannot execute it won't get a dot. Now you can't do you do you know what it's like in Harrisburg. It isn't pot you know we we hear all this this this being said isn't possible to weed through the red tape in the craziness on the lobbying and get it really get it done. Well frank if you're cabinet that is not owned by anybody and I'm not known by anybody in Europe Canada. The advantage I have I've been inside dubbed the capital of forty or I've built a lot of relationships. And then I come from the private sector but you'll guy have a I'm a I've purchased a lot of color were 35 business is in my career and I started. He'll at least to have effort doesn't can scratch. The distaste Hispanic I have as the afternoon after I have sworn in in January 2019. Someone enhanced meat cheese so the governor Bob Brady get to work I don't have to go around and beat. You know this person and that person. Already know who they are. And so I'm ready to go I don't need training wheels or my bicycle. And without you know I know what needs to be done so and I'm not a lot of relationships and also senate senate and let's and I have no relationships in the senate with Republicans I also have relationships were some Democrats in the senate and that's important. And M that's a really get things done. And if you Gordon Al sure gonna find the same thing on a lot of relationships with the Republican House members and our relationships with. Democrat. Members and that's how you're gonna get things done but you know models about relationships. And and that's a different Shang and hash for Harrisburg is really very transactional. You know our our lobbyists and all paid a lot of slot money don't you know to make contributions to this this candidate or this. Ulcers and a member and will try to get things done and it's a bad it's bad systems such. I'm determined. Determined seminary that up this area northeast and central pennsylvanians. Good part of our listening audience is very strong supporters of Second Amendment very very concerned about school safety as many people march and also very very strongly pro life I can you talk a little bit about your positions on any you're almost. Well frank got my 100% alive and come tomorrow percent pro life I have 100% pro life voting record I've been recognized by these family institute and the Pennsylvania. I'm pro life separation. Our I am shocked I don't. Huge supporter of the Second Amendment I'm a concealed weapons permits. In my wallet and not you know why I knew I don't firearms. And out so. You know it is she an arm in arm in arm I'm Arabs killed an option would believer to defend their rights. Schools' safety. Arm. Frank it is important that our school you're secure. People should be randomly wandering into our school buildings. Bob so they should be secure and as governor that will be my eighth. That's gonna be won my first and issues mission is immediately it's not been done I'm also a big supporter of having an armed resource officer. Highly trained in every single building. No crossing state and and someone comes in to harm students and or children's students on each shoulder or teachers. Others person's gonna do their job and defend it you know due to the people they need to defend. Something else that governor wolf in this where it hit home opened here. It in your neck of the woods you have the air trying to situation back in September 2014. Here's a guy that can be assassinated and apart state trooper Eddie wounded another we're very badly. And the governor Walter came into office. In 2015. And within the first two weeks governor. Wolf silently. Oh moratorium on the death penalty. When it's 48 hours all I can point to lift the moratorium on the best power leakage and I can tell you I we know the first step toward government side. And dollar in air trying to will be announced he will be on the short list also. But I'm gonna stand up wished would first responders police officers teachers you know people that are victims of violence but. The death penalty is a very big Chang we don't have consequences didn't go kill somebody and spend the rest your life form. No doubt throw it there are no consequences and I. Think coach Walsh senator Scott Wagner I know you have crazy busy schedules thank you for taking so much time to be less good luck on Tuesday. Frank thank you very much I'm so.
