Tim ease your damn. Good morning sir how are you know I am well how are you. That you. Yeah it's been a long time since I've seen new breakfast a couple of days ago with. So yeah airport there are torrential rain and as a note in four degrees up in Scranton and you were there and I ask you fewer. Running for congress and you said yes and then lo and behold yesterday boo me made the announcement so talk about the the reasons that you decided to get into this race and it if you had any kind of discussions. With that Libre Lannan who holds the seat now about. About the possibility of a do you make in this run. Sure thanks looks very much. If I'm. Live in the area that makes up the eleventh congressional now for almost thirty years. Spent well over twenty years of their time. Probability product and content I'll continue to. Grows more company to a large company. When during a kind of like conventionally we spent a lot of time with community activities and played a proactive role. He as revenue secretary and she mentioned for a four years I've got the public sector experience. Oh really comes to his service is in my blood you know obviously I. With South Korea like people I like creating opportunity people. I love my country and I don't want to serve my country. I know that district. You know spent little time I have done both internally I know it source out that shipments Bergmann up through our protest. And certainly military care anymore tour and among lower Columbia county right now. Sort feel very good about that. And there's several. And that is something else that compelled me somewhat and that is how are the best. Since blew up by eleven. Current congressmen who served with such distinction. As new federal US senate and I have been in contact and I've been good friends that we will over the years it has many people. But I admire greatly. I'm very happy and excited and the reason for the US senate and will be scored it 110%. And also the beginning and to pretend pursuant to. To attend the secret for the people of the eleven. I will tell you all of us. You know endorsement should get friendships and and contacts have been good the developed over time this election is gonna be up to the voters of the eleventh district. And I'm going to be campaigning hard. And in person about regularly and I'm gonna do my best to make my case earn less than. Go all the right reasons include the people that. I'm a person. That that can be a friend but also worked so well is there as a member of congress. Let's talk about those some of the half you've worn through the years Stan. First of all we often hear that to Washington. Does not really understands. The the business climate the business community. Very well that often Leann decisions are made by people who have absolutely act as they said with them with Donald Trump. Never signed. The front of the paycheck. Talk about that though with you and the company that you've been involved with them for very long time. Upright health care which later became pride mobility products talk about to your involvement there and how working in small business. Has she Q. Well you know over twenty years you're you're you better learn a lot and we pitted we grew as a sort of small component to a large company we'd be mistakes. But we certainly have figured it out content you learn how to get things done. And you learn how to set a goal it's not ready. It's it's not it's not paid you get an award for work achieving that goal and you're expected to achieve that goal. Yeah. You don't point fingers from blame it on YouTube you can repeatedly credit to take the blame. I'm in you you under promise and you can you won't deliver. Of those so actually used those those he he's but unfortunately tend to be somewhat opposite in public service not global peace. When I spent those forty years that it is a secretary of revenue and we applaud those principles and we'll tell you Lee younger said the strategy. And department of revenue was named most improved department of revenue during. During my four years are we believe the best and most improved curriculum vita and a minus. And basically how we did it was we just focus term customer first customer service. Up pitchers. And I also hate to say if they want to sell that car sleek receptacle people got behind that. Lee we do their best to transform traditional tax collection agency to look taxpayer advocacy agency. And the Abu and actually our revenues one could we we we treated treat taxpayers like customers not. Not not not yeah. And that needs to be done beats me down and state level and it actually can be done and got a lot. And I'm happy to do by myself I think Europe's great would be crazy to contribute to be resolved them a realist. Here we go into this little hole the right reasons that you've got to represent people who can be no surprises for me in Washington I'm conservatives. I believe in conservative principles I believe in the America first agenda. But the president trump about talks about and what that what that is it's it's competitive tax it's cutting waste abuse and problems from from our spending. We didn't infrastructure bills. It didn't health care to bet that is affordable and works and it's accessible tool. He saw the line you know shouldn't be that that's difficult to get done. On the stand and and and all the red tape regulation is not so we worked on at the state. But it's too seemed problem I'm on the federal level and you know eat eat eat eat some country can't get. You can't make that vote on it we'll get you can you can alert the general public of what's happening. And by gaining the support the general public that tell you what influence other legislators. And then you know then my guess is they want they want out of the influence how to move forward towards the forward but it sort of pictured being there more. So the back to the health care issue because this thing has so obviously. And in front and center for so many people but I've that you have insight into it. The way that others do not because you have this business with hundreds of employees. Out here who what are your suggestions. For how to me. This better for. The the average individual and just to make it to work so that is so affordable and accessible I guess are the goals here. But the biggest of the problems with our healthcare system so look obamacare in his premiums. On Iowa and just general. Screw up it's important for those that are employed and everyone. It squeezes. Through regions and squeeze wages. Decreased the disposable income of Pennsylvania American Kremlin's. And that is the big problem because consumer spending. And consumer confidence and we're driving term. And the just just a shame when premiums for health care keep going up and wages compared legal because the year. Of the employer's spending thousands and thousands more dollars. Interest just covered their their health care insurance. So there are very disappointing that congress didn't get experience. I'm in much of it. A lot of the post to a but I think what truly needs to be done is that we have block grants to go back to the states. And the states work it out that the proper healthcare it proper Medicaid expansion. And on the popular level of competition. Among. Among okay characters. In in this state. And and and that could certainly there have been a private supply and demand would drive down costs access. Sure it includes a special programs will be made to those who need it. In. And a walk about beat big step in the right direction. I'm certainly many of the provisions that have been talked about since. 2002000. Wore him and I was told bush to bomb a preexisting conditions. Noah and I think everybody be okay we're engaged to twenty harder to 26 years old. And things like that. Or are necessary. And are helpful and don't drive up the costs. Would struggle the cost is the and that's not a red tape. Be the problem. These sites for it are they good expansion. Of Medicaid. With no. Real. Eligibility. Or whoever clarity. You know which ability. And that sort of a huge expense on stage and and and the problem. And it's it's it's very disorganized right now and get this Kinsler. Yeah America. Where would that they wouldn't when north premiums go to. 5000 dollars or choose to lure deductible goes too far thousand dollars. How many people actually have insurance. The people boost that unless something catastrophic errors. Actually spell but it's like I don't know you so look back out. Some 1000 dollars but rates achieved here so this is a big issue it's pretty wet blanket over the economy. And it needs needs to be dressed like congress. The whole reason I like to be there and be a conservative focus on getting things done. Yep because that seems to be head down and one of the problems that did people. Say. Is permissive right now is that we have all these individuals. Sitting in Washington. And there's used to be head gridlock in Malays. I thought that it is very acceptable. But I'd I'd feel as if you know programs will be uncle criticized the people well. What I'm I'm an outsider to receive. The and nurture. And bill and the lack of moving the ball up the field and if you will and down. If it can Kindle will no longer exist in and it was we make excuses. And well. That's not that's not what the Clinton people ought to stay at Ford certainly know what they voted in. Donald Trump. And Republican House and senate. But we we we must live. In a we don't well then we we ebitda we bear the brunt of we meaning the Republican Party. No of course the agenda in Washington is is going to be jam packed because of these so hurricanes which have a decimated of course Houston and it looks like. Florida is sent in the in the eyes and that's going to be a priority there is the tax legislation that super rarity. The the the situation with Jack that's a priority. And as a as a person. From the world of business. Can't all these things be tackled out wants. I think so that you sort of time line set yet everybody you know we get carpet on the committees what the project that they're. Yeah you get these bills out of committee. You demand within the leadership should regular order. And congress we submit a bill but the matter that it had been in the past we have an up or down vote and get the president. You know goes somehow to go to the senate comes back from work. A competent and we we we you know. We get things down and down you know and always you know without the so what hail Mary it doesn't have to be. There was another city business a good plan today is better than perfect Clinton tomorrow. On them we need to do things for but the American people expect. Us to do. And speaking at dusk is different than some have already not that they need at this point but. Come on run and so I can be be part of because of the results. And it's not. They're being very transparent. And and talking to people as shock over the shoulder. I mean that's what what everybody else and it's a problem. And that is this is what we need to do to resolve the problem in very often it's it's voting at that I've worked at the Apollo Group sort. It's it was more concerns. But that didn't make I'm acting more positives I I didn't think. That weekend. Get these things that including taxes including healthcare. Include an infrastructure builders think everybody would be war having to aka certainly must be handled. Okay and what would President Obama get there for absolutely legal. Meet the demands of the the president made it five or six times than what he went and it and so it's not fair to import even within those who who argue legally be left in limbo well. I mean it needs and he can certainty and we need comprehensive illegal immigration. And we took borders. I mean you know every country what's occurred orders for some reason. You know what would we feel you know we we feel that where modern nation where we'd. Meaning the media and others that. That that that's something that's that's that's more important very important. Look at just look at one of the biggest plague and epidemic that we're dealing with the nets' spiel the only issue. And in particular appeal its public mobile at least it would that's a heroin epidemic. Being with Vanilla Coke for. I mean it's it's it's it's it's much of the coming over the borders. Are in it lacked adequate to ourselves sometimes we we we gonna do anything. But we you know they'll play nobody wanted but we'll go to cover. And we need to make the right decisions. For the that based on what is best for the US. The American people. I'm running as a Republican and Dan you'll inevitably be tied to. President trumped that's just the way it is from your perspective though what kind of job is he doing so far what is he getting right and where can he improve. So let's look at the alternative at the start there you know if he wasn't elected. Oh well I can't imagine what these policy EU initiative would be. It would be the exact opposite. Frankly for what president trump. It's trying to do instead of lowering taxes leave behind corporate and business taxes and tax work. You. And start trying to lure them make us more competitive and bring back. Ex Soviet patriot dollars that will. Help the economy would be leading tax instead of our regulations would be we be increasing. Instead of having a more limited government and we have a picnic. Instead of focusing on growing private sector be focusing on growing public stack. Instead actually following the constitution. We be making it up as legal law. So I'm very happy that that that he was elected and it didn't say to America first agenda it's a war. Well of course president and and crises and other things occur but it stitched tax with them. Its regular flu at school and its infrastructure and health care. We get that into it and there's there's there's been there which is very important is border secure. And you know the things that he you know it's it's certainly in had been. Making art art military scope as possible and having the highest level of readiness. That the US patent the world responsibilities. And we found over the last eight years what happens in the world coordinators but he power vacuum. And it. Certainly. There are indeed the world wants. Not much of the United States should take government responsibility because that's our that's our place the below blockbuster. Because those sort of look what the US is about democracy freedom. Directed Dan we have to go run back to thank you for joining us today you announced yesterday and I know that you are. Now out about meeting the people the eleventh congressional districts I know you're busy and I know they're gonna have your ear in your attentions I appreciate you making its.
