The trial of Eric Frein is winding down in Pike County Court. Frein is charged in the September 2014 attack that killed Cpl. Bryon Dickson II and critically wounded Trooper Alex Douglass.  Trooper Douglass testified yesterday telling the jury about that night at the Blooming Grove barracks when he arrived for his shift.  Shots rang out and as he tried to help an injured Cpl Dickson, he too was struck by a bullet. He described the searing pain and recalled how he thought a coward or cowards was shooting from across the street. Prosecutors plan to rest their case later today. The defense does not plan to call any witnesses.  Frein who could face the death penalty pleaded not guilty to all charges.
