Penalty Phase Begins this Afternoon
Jurors will decide between life in prison and the death penalty
After four hours of deliberations, jurors reached a verdict in the Eric Frein murder trial, guilty on all 12 counts of 1st degree murder and terrorism. The sentencing phase is scheduled to begin at 1:30 this afternoon in Pike County Court. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Frein, who killed Cpl. Bryon Dickson II and seriously injured Trooper Alex Douglass.
Defense lawyer Bill Ruzzo says he'll appeal to jurors to spare Frein's life.
