Jury To Get the Case of Eric Frein Today
Closing Arguments this morning
The capital murder trial of Eric Frein will resume this morning when closing statements are given and the jury will likely get the case. Tuesday testimony centered on the shooting of PA State Trooper Cpl Bryon Dickson. The jury saw pictures taken in the aftermath of shots fired outside the Blooming Grove Barracks in September 2014. They included showing entrance and exit of wounds caused by bullets one that struck just above the protective "trauma plate" of his ballistic vest. Forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross performed the autopsy on Cpl Dickson and ruled his death a homicide. Frein could face the death penalty if found guilty. The prosecution rested as did the defense. Frein has pleaded not guilty.
