A tow truck driver who struck and killed a 55 year old Wilkes-Barre woman with her vehicle was sentenced to four to eight years in prison. 56 year old Robert Wickham, of Dallas, worked for Herbert's Towing and took a AAA call at the Social Security Administration Building parking lot on East Mountain Road in March of last year. He said he warned Denise Polinchak away as he sat in her car. The car took off and the open driver's door hit Polinchak, knocking her down inflicting what turned out to be fatal injuries. Prosecutors said Wickham downed three 24-ounce cans of beer before he took that call.
