The mother of two young boys who did not survive the fire that swept their Hyde Park Avenue, Scranton home in July of 2009 offered wrenching testimony in Lackawanna County yesterday. Tyaisha Leary re-lived the sounds of her ten hear old son, Michael, yelling for help, and how the intense heat made her helpless. Michael, and his nine year old brother, Taevon, were killed. , The boys' brother and Leary were seriously injured. Leary's testimony came at the murder trial of her former boyfriend, 43 year old William Woods of Scranton. He's charged with setting blaze. The death penalty won't be pursued because Woods opted for a non-jury trial.
