"Saturday Night Live at the Oldies" with Shadoe Steele
Rusty Fender from Entercom Communications began "traffic reporting" in this region in October of 1990. Rusty is also alter-ego Shadoe Steele, host of the top-rated "Saturday Night Live at the Oldies", the longest running, and only "all request" 5-hour 'oldies' radio show since 1986 in this market, airing close to 2,000 interviews with musical artists and pop culture icons each week. He was in charge of Satellite Systems Engineering for the CBS Television Network, the NBC Television Network, AT&T Satellite Systems Engineering at the former World Trade Center (all in New York City) and MSNBC in Secaucus, New Jersey for twenty years. Rusty holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Duke University, as well as working as a Professor for the past eight years at Wilkes University in the Aerospace Engineering, Integrative Media and Technical Broadcast Systems Departments.
