Second wife. First degree. They'er the numbers former Methodist clergyman  Arthur Schirmer faced at the end of the day yesterday. And he will appeal the first degree murder conviction a jury in Monroe County handed to him yesterday. The panel agreed that he smashed Betty Schirmer's head witha crowbar then set up a vehicular accident to make it look like it was the cause of her death. Betty, his second wife, died in 2008. And Schirmer's not finished with the court system yet.....he faces another murder trial in Lebanon County accused of killing his first wife of 30 years, Jewell. Schirmer says she suffered fatal injuries when her ankled got tangled on a vacuum cleaner cord and she tumbled down some stairs.
