Murder For Hire Indictment

A 63-year-old Florida resident was indicted today by a federal grand jury in Scranton on charges of a Murder for hire scheme. The US Attorney's office alledges Edward McLaughlin, of Cape Coral, Florida, conspired with another person to kill McLaughlin's ex-wife in Scranton going as far as shipping a rifle from Florida to Scranton to commit the crime. McLaughlin could face up to life in prison if convicted on the charges.
