Governor Tom Corbett offered a rare preview of his proposed budget for 2014-15 today, saying it will include more money for rape and domestic violence issues in Pennsylvania. Corbett said he wants to increase funding for domestic violence and rape crisis services by $2.2 million or 10 percent. Domestic violence programs would see an increase from $13.9 to $15.3 million. The increase to fund 50 rape crisis centers in local communities would be nearly $800,000, to more than $8.7 million. The Governor will unveil his budget plan in two weeks.
