Lane Shift on Veterans Memorial Bridge

PennDOT and Fahs Construction is scheduled to shift the current westbound traffic, Wilkes-Barre to Kingston, to the new westbound driving lane on the Pierce Street Bridge.  The eastbound traffic, Kingston to Wilkes-Barre, will continue to use the current eastbound driving lane starting on Thursday, June 19, 2014.  The new traffic pattern, Phase 3, will be in use for the next 2-3 weeks. This work is in preparation for the placement of median barrier and mountable curb off the bridge. Alternate lane closures will be used from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Minor traffic delays may be experienced.  Scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change.  All bridge work expected to be completed by July 8, 2014.
