A non-jury murder trial set for Lackawanna County today. It stems from a fire allegedly set by 43 year old William Woods, of Scranton. He is accused of first and second degree murder and arson after allegedly torching the Hyde Park Avenue home of his ex-girlfriend, Tyaisha Leary on July 21st of 2009. Her nine and ten year old sons were killed in the blaze. She and their brother were badly injured. It is not a death penalty case.
