PSP- "We are getting close to him", Hundreds involved in intense search of Monro


The Pa. State Police are acting on numerous tips and intensifying their search of the northern Monroe Co/Pike Co area looking for suspected killer Eric Frein.  Gov. Tom Corbett announced that progress is being made, and Lt. Col. George Bivens of the PSP says hundreds are now in the search and they are 'close to him'.

Pa. State Police say that accused killer Eric Frein planned his deadly assault on law enforcement for a long time and surveilled the PSP Barracks at Blooming Grove before the ambush shooting.  They showed pictures of an AK-47 and ammuntion discovered in the woods near Frein's abandoned Jeep.  Cpl. Bryon Dickson was killed, Trooper Alex Douglass is recovering from serious inuries

Authorities lift shelter in place warning in Monroe County


Police have lifted the shelter in place warning that kept people inside their Barrett and Price Township homes for 24 hours, and left those that weren't there seeking shelter elsewhere.  Many law enforcement officials have been canvassing the neighborhood where Eric Matthew Frein lived with his parents.  The 31 year old is accused in the ambush killing of PSP Cpl. Grant Money For Higher Education
