About 200 people gathered in Scranton Sunday to rally to save the Affordable Care Act.  Another rally to save the Affordable Care Act is set for this coming Saturday on Public Square in Wilkes Barre.

Commonwealth Health Expanding Jobs

Commonwealth Health announced yesterday it plans to add 160 nursing staff positions to several of its hospitals this year, including Wilkes Barre General.

A Scranton man is faces numerous charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15 year old female. Richard Hallock according to investigators had been involved with the teen from September or October of 2015 until present day.

Governor Tom Wolf made a stop in Wilkes Barre yesterday. He was at the Charles T. Adam Senior Center across from City Hall on a budget tour. He was joined by the states Aging Secretary Theresa Osbourne.

Fire Destroys Garage in Carbondale

Fire crews fought the winds and icing conditions Sunday at a fire in Carbondale. They were called to a home on Salem Mountain Road and found an unattached garage fully involved. There were no injuries.
