6-1-12 Greek food, psychic astrologers and butterflies
The weekend is so quickly upon us, hastened by the long holiday weekend that left us with a four day work week. So excited that the Greek Food Festival in Scranton is kicking off next Tuesday. We talked with Sophia Fives about the event on the show. Sophia is a terrific woman who I had the pleasure of going to college with back in the 80’s. That was when we had big hair and Marywood was a college and not a University.
Had some fun on air with psychic/astrologer Ray Sette today. He reads astrological charts and gave us a glimpse of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. He calls a very close race in November, close as what happened back in 2000 when we saw poll workers looking for hanging chads. At this point, Ray says he thinks Mitt Romney has the edge, but that anything can happen in the ensuing months. Listen to the full interview here, and find out more about Ray Sette at www.astrologerray.com . You can also catch Ray on WILK’s Paranormal Science this Sunday at 8pm as we rebroadcast the interview we did with him last fall.
This weekend I hope to repeat an amazing encounter while gardening last weekend. My daughter and I were planting flowers when this great big yellow butterly landed on the dahlia in front of us. I have never seen a butterly like this. Big, yellow, with a few circles and a brilliant blue design in an upside down triangle on the bottom. She stretched out her wings and as I slowly reached for my camera she gracefully exited. We searched online through butterflies of Pa. and still haven’t spotted her.
We’ve kicked off our Facebook Caribbean cruise contest on WILK. Go to our facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/wilkradio and like us. Enjoy your weekend…and we’ll talk to you next week on the show!
