Some confusion after a Wilkes-Barre Police posting said a man was fatally wounded after two men were shot early today has been cleared up by Chief Gerard Dessoye. He told WILK's Sue Henry this morning that information from the hospital had the man dead but the Luzerne County Coroner's Office was not notified and the investigation is not being carried as one involving a homicide. Reports today said two men were shot near the Boulevard Townhomes on South Welles Street shortly before one this morning. One of the victims was shot in the head, the other in the hip. Chief Dessoye told WILK three individuals were walking through the complex on their way home when they encounted a man with a firearm who opened fire, striking two of the individuals.
